First things first, I want to say a heart felt "THANK YOU" to all of the people that have posted a message on the blog. I have gotten to know some of you over the phone like Debi, Carlos, and Megan; I can honestly say without a doubt that you were definitely part of Uncle Danny's family! After talking with you, I feel like I have known you for a long time even though we have never met, that will change May 10th. I look forward to meeting all of you! My sister (Shelley) and I will be at the service and all that follows. For anyone wanting to know any information about Uncle Danny's memorial service, go http://www.uflac.org/ (the United Firefighters of Los Angeles website), all the details for the service are on their homepage. From everything I've heard, Uncle Danny's Memorial Service is going to be "Off the Hook"! I plan on taking many pictures during the service and I will post some of them when I return home. One last thing, if anyone leaves a post, it does not list your email address. So if anyone would like or need to contact me, you can email me at dcypert69@hotmail.com (Put "Uncle Danny" in the subject, that way if it accidentally goes to my junk mail folder, I'll know to open it anyway). Until next time...WALK GOOD!!!.............Dan

Our family was touched by Danny in so many ways it is hard to recount them all. We were not direcly a part of the Fire department, but my Brother-in-Law was and that's how we meet Danny.
On one very special occasion, the wedding of my Niece, Danny officiated as the minister. As is traditional the night before was the rehearsal at the sea-side chapel in Pismo, CA. The Bride to be, Groom and members of the wedding party had all left the campground we were staying in and the rest of us were relaxing when up walked Danny. A full Indian headress on his head and a prayer book in his hand he was ready for the rehersal. The only problem was they had accidently left him behind. Full of patience and with a calm sweet smile he asked for a ride, saying he wasn't worried, they couldn't start without him.
I will always remember him that day, full of the joy of the event and the love he held for our family.
Danny, Thank you.
